Pancake Flipping Dancing Ragdoll Machine

With the auto center pin feature of v0.6, It is very easy to make well balanced gears. With this discovery, I tried to think of something clever to apply it to. I gave up on that for now, so I give you the Pancake Flipping Dancing Ragdoll Machine. To start it, select the moving tool, and use it to spin the circle (indicated with the red arrow) counterclockwise. Once it starts to spin, it will pick up speed like an airplane propeller, and begin moving the other “gears”. I find it kind of hypnotic to watch, and have to say it’s my best creation yet. Hope you like it.

Site Promotion

Filed under: Announcements — tripppy @ 10:18 pm

I thought i would make a .pp file promoting the site. linking the website inside the simple example of pocket physics.

It’s using a couple of new items switches & latches, takes awhile sometimes, other times it glitches out.

Hope you all like it.

Collection Of Mazes !!!!

Filed under: maze — seanburby @ 7:02 am

Hi there guys, This is my complete collection of mazes. There are 5 levels in all, each one gets incresingly difficult. The idea of the game - as I am sure that you know - is to get the ball into the red chute at the end of the level. I have chopped and changed the levels to make each one more difficult, but the structures of the levels are basically the same as each other. P.S. All of the levels are possible to complete. They can sometimes be frustrating to complete, but they can be completed!!!!! I finally managed to get the whole coding thing working. Read the previous post by tripppy and you should be good to go!! :P Enjoy and let me know how you got on! :D NOTE - I THINK THE MAZES ONLY WORK WITH VERSION 0.5 OF POCKET PHYSICS, NOT 0.6 AS I HAVE TRIED THEM WITH 0.6 AND THEY ALL FROZE WHEN LOADING!!! LET ME KNOW IF THEY WORK WITH 0.6 FOR YOU. THANKYOU :D

mayhem

Filed under: Announcements, catapult, glitches — tripppy @ 10:40 pm

yes, it works, finally, a screen shot. Here’s the code i used to do it.

ppv filename=”wp-content/uploads/dropbox/mayhem.pp” /

just put some [] around it.

obviously replace mayhem.pp with your newly uploaded example.

User’s with files already uploaded need to edit there existing post in “code” mode to discover the location of the .pp file.

If I thought there .pp was worthy, I will go and add the code!

for pointing me in the right direction, lots of thanks to 0xtob the creator of pocket physics.

Adam Hoyle is the creator of the flash viewer many thanks aswell.

Test Your Might

Here’s another carnival-style game demo, based on those old games where you swing the hammer hard enough to ring the bell. Success in this version seems more related to hitting the lever just right, but the overall sensation of slamming the hammer down and seeing the piston rise translates well to the world of Pocket Physics. Enjoy.

Leap Of Faith

Filed under: Uncategorized — seanburby @ 3:08 am

Hi Guys,

My creation is similar to the one on the homepage of the pocket physics website, with the person diving ( well, getting crumpled ) and performing a leap of faith with a flip and a special little surprise at the end! I hope you like it and have fun! :D

Sorry for the guys who experienced problems with the link I posted earlier, I don’t know what’s wrong. Perhaps just right click and save it as leap of faith.pp or something like that. Anyway, I will try to re-upload it. :D I think this one will work!!! (Fingers crossed) :P

I would personally like to say thanks to Sir_Voe for creating such a great game, Skeeball! It is very addicting and anyone who hasn’t tried this game should give it a go right now!!!!!!

Could someone please upload the perpetual motion arm thingy! It would be greatly appreciated!! :D

Pinball table

Filed under: Uncategorized — woodbin @ 6:07 pm

Hi! I’ve made simple pinball table (I hate object limiting =( ). I used the bat idea from skeeball file by Sir_Voe and I have also lowered gravity a little bit, so it’s easier to play. Have fun :)

Gravity Change

I have created 2 saves which have changed gravity, for those who dont have a dsmotion. these saves cannot change the gravity during the game, but have to be changed via the PC or any text editor.

Open up any .pp save in wordpad or something simular, to change the gravity you will have to change the following;

<world gravity_x=”0.000000″ gravity_y=”0.000000″ />

To change normal gravity change the X gravity. To change sideways gravity change the Y gravity. yes it really is that simple.

noGravity.PP

heres low gravity aswel, if you cant be bothered to change it yourself. LowGravity.PP (my favourite)

Pocket SkeeBall

I based this level on the popular game, Skeeball. First you start the simulation, select the moving tool, then drop one of the balls down the chute so it comes to rest against the blue rectangle. The shooter is now loaded. Then you pull the blue rectangle left and release it to launch the loaded ball. Continue until all balls are gone, then tabulate your score .
